Milo Silberstein
Milo Silberstein is the Senior and Managing Partner at Dealy Silberstein & Braverman, LLP.
Milo has extensive experience in many types of litigation matters. He regularly represents clients in federal and state courts, in arbitrations and before federal and state administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board.
He represents individuals and institutional clients from a wide range of industries including Taft-Hartley multiemployer benefit funds, employer associations, oil and natural gas, finance, construction, sanitation, recycling, transportation, commercial moving, not-for-profit, advertising and marketing, education, restaurants and the legal profession.
Representative matters that Milo routinely handles include Title VII and Title IX discrimination cases, claims for withdrawal liability pursuant to the Multi-employer Pension Plan Amendments Act (“MPPAA”), claims made pursuant to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”) and the Labor Management Relations Act (“LMRA”), complex business disputes, construction disputes and mechanic’s liens, partnership disputes including disputes between and among law firm partners, claims involving legal malpractice, wage and hour cases pursuant to the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) and the New York Labor Law, First Amendment/defamation cases, pension disputes and class actions pertaining to employee stock ownership plans and claims for breach of fiduciary duty.
Milo handles all aspects of labor relations matters including collective bargaining and grievances. He also has advised a number of clients in negotiating and preparing substantial asset purchase agreements and other corporate transactions. Milo focuses also on executive compensation matters for financial professionals and medical doctors, including negotiating, drafting and finalizing employment agreements, separation agreements, confidentiality agreements and restrictive covenants.
Milo has been selected to the Super Lawyers® list in the New York Metro Area for the past ten (10) years, 2013 to 2022. This distinction is afforded to only the top 5% of lawyers in the New York Metro Area.
Milo was also selected as a member of the Nation’s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. Only the top one percent of attorneys in the United States are awarded membership in NADC.
