DSB’s Trusts and Estates group litigates all matters over which the Surrogate’s Courts have jurisdiction. These include will contests, will and trust construction, claims against executors and trustees for breach of their fiduciary duty, defense of executors or trustees accused of wrongdoing, accounting proceedings, spousal and kinship proceedings related to rights of inheritance, and special proceedings related to the appointment of guardians for developmentally disabled individuals and individuals who lack capacity to care for their own financial and personal needs. We additionally provide estate planning and administration services.
